Primary purpose:

The Analyst will oversee and support all aspects of Land Records Management including analysis, maintenance, data input, imaging, obligations, rental and division order payments, and storage of all new and legacy agreements.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical lead for QRA Division Order system implementation. 
  • Analyze, calculate, and maintain ownership and division of interest utilizing title opinions, leases, deeds, probate proceedings, curative, etc.
  • Establish, update, and maintain joint interest billing and revenue division of interests.
  • Assist with acquisition, divestiture, due diligence, internal/external audits, data conversion and other special projects.
  • Professionally respond to royalty owner inquiries through phone, written or electronic communication.
  • Analyze and input new agreements (leases, easements, permits, rights-of-way, and deeds) into Quorum Land System. 
  • Process ownership changes and agreement maintenance.
  • Prepare audit reports ensuring the highest levels of data accuracy. 
  • Prepare files for scanning and indexing in Dynamic Docs.
  • Research uncashed checks, prepare letters to landowners and work with accounting to escheat money to the state if needed.
  • Assist in the development of processes and procedures.
  • Seek opportunities to innovate, continuously improve processes and look for efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with a variety of people with tact, courtesy, and professionalism. 
  • Maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance.
  • Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
  • Other daily, weekly, monthly, or special projects may be assigned.

Minimum requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

 Experience/Specific Knowledge:

  • 6 years of experience working as a Division Order or Land Analyst at an oil and gas exploration and production company or midstream energy company. Midstream experience preferred. 
  • Experience in using Quorum Land System (QLS, QRA, QQM, Dynamic Docs).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

Working Conditions:

  • Will work non-traditional hours as needed.
  • May be required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
  • Candidates will be required to clear a drug screen and complete a background check, including a credit report for certain positions after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.

Above the minimum requirements, not required but advantageous in this position: 

  • Certified Division Order Analyst
